Alex Pereira was recently quizzed about what he would choose between a trilogy fight with Israel Adesanya or a fight with Jon Jones.

The question was asked by Ariel Helwani on his "The Ariel Helwani Show". Pereira made an appearance on the show with his translator, Plinio Cruz.

The Brazilian fighter was quick to respond by choosing a move to heavyweight division to fight Jon Jones. As per Pereira, he had already faced Adesanya and the opportunity  to face Jones was more appealing due to the challenge it would pose to him.

Pereira stated:  "[I'd pick] Jon Jones...Because I already fought Israel [Adesanya] four times and talk about Jon Jones, a new challenge and he's the champ."

Both the fighters are currently busy in their weight division with their respective schedule. However, a fight between them can transpire going forward and it looks more realistic for the fight to take place.

Alex Pereira is scheduled to face Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313 for the light-heavyweight title. Jon Jones on the other hand is in talks to face Tom Aspinall to unify the heavyweight titles.

UFC CEO Dana White showed interest in booking the fight but wants Jones to fight Aspinall first and unify the heavyweight titles.

With Jon Jones delaying the fight against Aspinall the big fight against Pereira might get delayed. Dana White had earlier said that Jones is too bigger than Pereira.

As for Dana White the current heavyweight champion has to fight the Interim heavyweight champion, which according to him is the most logical fight.

Both Alex Pereira and Jon Jones are huge attractions for the UFC fans  and a fight between the two bring a lot of revenue for the company. With time we will get answers to our questions.
