Dan Hooker Confirms Alexander Volkanovski and Kai Kara France's Next Fight

Former UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski is ready for a comeback. Not too long ago, he said, “Hopefully, fight announcement soon. We’re in camp; we’ve been in camp for a while.”

Ever since he lost his last bout against Ilia Topuria back in February 2024, the fighting community has been waiting for the Australian foodie’s comeback. And now, Dan Hooker has hinted at a date for ‘The Great’s return.

‘The Hangman’ also believed that his teammate Kai Kara-France would compete on the same card as Volkanovski. To add fire to the excitement, he revealed his desire to fight on the same card as Kara-France and Volkanovski.

However, Hooker is set for the co-main event at UFC 313 against Justin Gaethje. So, when will Volkanovski and Kara-France fight according to ‘The Hangman’?

During a recent conversation with UFC Australia and New Zealand, the #6 lightweight contender said, “I’m pretty sure Alex [Volkanovski] and Kai [Kara-France] will be on the same card.

I would’ve liked for the three of us to be fighting in April together, but I got chucked on a little earlier… I’ll get to enjoy my fight in March, then hopefully be sitting cageside with a mojito and enjoy the fights there with the boys.”

Well, the New Zealander probably suggested that ‘The Great’ and ‘Don’t Blink’ were set to battle at UFC 314, which is scheduled for April 12, 2025, at the Kaseya Center, Miami.

Even though Dan Hooker was disappointed at being unable to fight alongside Kara-France and ‘The Great’, he was excited to battle against the former BMF champion.

However, the conflict about Alexander Volkanovski’s next bout still persists.
