CM Punk Declares himself for the men’s Royal Rumble match
CM Punk, the Voice of the Voiceless, kicked off the show. Before making his way to the ring he was seen wearing a pair of Jey Uso glasses on his way to the ring. Punk announced that he would enter the Royal Rumble setting his sights on main eventing WrestleMania 41. The crowd truly stood for Punk’s classic line, “This is my year to headline WrestleMania.”
He mentioned John Cena in his promo before being interrupted by Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre. The two superstars also announced their entry into the men’s Royal Rumble match. The three were involved in a fiery exchange of words. Later in a backstage segment, Rollins vs McIntyre vs setup for next week’s episode of the red brand.
Backstage Segments
There were quite a few confrontations that happened backstage setting up matches later for the night and for next episodes.
Sami Zayn Meets Seth Rollins
After the opening segment, Rollins and Zayn crossed paths. The Visionary expressed his displeasure on Zayn Helping Roman Reigns in his quest to reclaim the Ula Fala. Zayn tried to explain his actions but Rollins wasn’t pleased.
The Judgement Day Showing Signs of Break-up
Finn Balor was seen preparing a strategy. Dominik Mysterio tried to make it up with Liv Morgan by gifting her with a bouquet of flowers. However, cracks were visible between the two as Morgan accepted the gift before throwing it towards Carlito.
The Miz Mocks Sami Zayn
Zayn was on his way to Adam Pearce’s office. He met Karrion Kross and The Miz just outside the office. The A-lister had a verbal spat with the Canadian. The two-time grand slam champion mocked Zayn for never winning a World title in his career. It set up a match between the two for later in the show.

Chad Gable’s Open Challenge: Penta El Zero M vs. Chad Gable
Winner: Penta El Zero M
Gable’s open challenge brought up the much anticipated luchador as Penta El Zero M made his thunderous WWE Raw debut. In a match that featured Penta’s full display of resilience against Gable’s relentless technical onslaught culminating in a knee injury, Gable lost the match to the Penta Driver. After the match, Penta thanked the fans and declared, “A new era has begun.”
Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser
Winner: Sheamus
It was a classic, it was a battle, once again, fought on the lines of respect and intensity. Sheamus brought the proverbial house down with a mighty Brogue Kick that left Kaiser thinking about his tricks. A post-show skirmish with Bron Breakker hinted about the next chapter in the storyline of The Celtic Warrior.
Women’s IC Title Match: Lyra Valkyria vs. Dakota Kai
Winner: Lyra Valkyria (Inaugural Champion)
The finals for the first Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament turned into an all-out war. Valkyria defied all odds, including Kai’s finisher, then sealed the deal with a magnificent Nightwing to win and create history.
Gunther-Jey Uso Faceoff
Gunther laid an open challenge to the entire roster. Uso entered the ring to be the next challenger. He put an end to Gunther’s promo with a challenge aimed at the World Heavyweight Championship. Their entire verbal confrontation captured the build-up for a collision at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax and Bayley enter the ring
Ripley entered the ring reminding fans about who she is. Jax interrupted her promo and declared her entry into the women’s Royal Rumble match. The former WWE Women’s champion warned both the women’s world champion and mocked Bayley. Bayley entered the ring and a brawl broke out. Ripley stood tall in the end.
Street Fight: Damian Priest vs. Finn Bálor
Winner: Damian Priest
In all those chaotic battles of the night, it was those two former allies that seemed to bring the most havoc. From the brutal table spots to a comeback that keeps them coming, Priest has now finally ended his chapter with Bálor, leaving the WWE Universe in awe.
