Drew McIntyre, currently one of WWE RAW’s top heels, had an incredible run in 2024. A recent survey, commissioned by “Wrestling Republic“, asked fans to vote on who they considered McIntyre fit to be the World Champion in 2025. The Scotsman stood out by a mile as the majority’s clear choice, with overwhelming backing from fans.
From the poll, about 81 percent of the fans said they wanted Drew McIntyre to be the World Champion again. As soon as the Instagram page declared the results, his fans went to the comment section to support him.

Despite having won the WWE World Championship twice, the title reigns were different. The first reign was during the COVID-19 ThunderDome era. It reign came without any response from a live audience in order to energize his establishment.
Sadly, his second reign was short lived because Damien Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank straight away. The events happened only five minutes after his pinfall victory over Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40. Fans are now looking at the Scotsman climbing back into the championship scene. Moreover, they are looking for some long and significant title defenses during his whole reign.
Drew McIntyre will feature in 2025 men’s Royal Rumble match
On the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, the former WWE Champion declared his entry into the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match. The announcement came as McIntyre interrupted a promo segment involving CM Punk and Seth Rollins. The two had also announced their participation in the Royal Rumble match on Monday Night RAW.
The segment quickly boiled over into a heated encounter, perhaps setting up rivalries for weeks to come. After the volcanic exchange had concluded, WWE even announced McIntyre would face Rollins in a one-on-one match on the upcoming RAW.
So far, the plans for the Royal Rumble match are shaping out to be the most cut-throat in years. With the likes of stars such as CM Punk, John Cena, and Rollins announcing their intent to dethrone Gunther, the current World champion. The inclusion of McIntyre has given an additional thing to watch through this already overcrowded line-up.
This recent goings-on suggests that fans may eye-in a possible route through the Scotiah Warrior to an opportunity to reclaim his World Championship this year. Can the Scottish Warrior finally reach the pinnacle of WWE and deliver the championship reign fans have been clamoring for? Only time will tell.
