On the Monday Night RAW episode of August 11, 2025, the second match for Clash in Paris was made official. Most certainly, the main event of that Paris show will witness the sensational Fatal 4-Way match for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship. Apart from the champ, his arch-rival, CM Punk, faces him again. The last man to pin him, LA Knight, also gets the chance. However, a fairly unrelated name, Jey Uso, is also added in the mix for the world title.

One can say that Uso has been in The Vision’s vortex for a while now and deserves to take down Rollins. Ever since his title defense against Rollins, and the later part of helping out Punk, Jey has been giving the faction a tough time. Even at SummerSlam, he was the one to pin Bronson Reed and shake The Vision. And in May 2025, he was the one (by DQ) among many few to have a win over Seth.

However, the recent contenders to pose a threat to Seth have only been Knight and Punk. That’s where the critics come. Fans think that the inclusion of Uso is stated only to get those loud reactions out of the French crowd. More than the storyline implications, the former WHC is here for business purposes. Jey is not the one to ‘Clash in Paris’ but would be getting ‘cheers in Paris’.

There was a possibility for a clean triple threat, with Rollins’ recent rivals. The only stars who have clean pinned the Visionary should be in line for his World Heavyweight Championship. But Uso has snuck in.

WWE Fans react to Jey Uso getting a world title shot at Clash in Paris

Aforementioned, Jey Uso would be the heat (hate) magnet in the buildup for this match. At least on the internet, fans are not liking the way Uso is put in here. In response to WrestleOps’ post about the Fatal 4-Way’s announcement, one fan replied using a meme reference. Jey was called a strange addition with ‘Polar bear in Arlington’ text.

Fans are relieved by the fact that Uso is there to (supposedly) take the pin though. Another fan is actually excited for the match, though keeping aside whether Jey is there or not. One more fan is ‘disappointed but not surprised’. And many more reactions have come for the potential main event of Clash in Paris.
