Seth “Freakin” Rollins is currently sidelined from WWE with a shoulder injury. He was shaping into being the MVP of 2025 with several banger matches and constant main-event presence. However, his injury at Crown Jewel 2025 put him on the shelf for nearly six months. However, now that he is healing, and cannot be moving things this year, he still recalls his contribution last year was monumental for WWE itself.

During a recent appearance on the Games With Names podcast, Rollins took us back to the main event of WrestleMania XL Night 2. Rollins claims the battle between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes was a “watershed moment” for the business. He noted that the collapse of The Bloodline and Rhodes finally “finishing the story” served as a definitive turning point that few other matches in history can match.

Rollins’ insights carry significant weight given his personal involvement in that arc. Following the Royal Rumble 2024, he transitioned from a rival to Cody’s trusted ally. He famously served as the “Shield” for the American Nightmare, standing against The Rock and Reigns. His selflessness reached its peak when he donned his old ‘Shield’ tactical gear and drew a chair shot from Roman Reigns.

This strategic sacrifice allowed Rhodes the opening needed to finally dethrone “The Tribal Chief.” He spoke on how the end of Bloodline was pivotal and closed an iconic chapter in WWE’s books. It’s ironic how the former leader of Vision currently finds himself ousted from his own faction, and still appreciates the “death of the Bloodline”.

Seth Rollins reveals being gifted from The Rock after WrestleMania 40

Despite their intense on-screen animosity leading into WrestleMania XL, Seth Rollins has revealed that his real-life relationship with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is surprisingly sweet. He shared details of a massive “care package” sent by The Final Boss to aid in his post-WrestleMania recovery.

Following the grueling physical toll of the event that included a high-stakes tag team match against The Rock and Roman Reigns on Night 1. Then his singles match on Night 2 and his critical involvement in the main event led to Rollins being sidelined with injuries. To assist with the healing process, Johnson sent an enormous delivery of gourmet treats.

“I’m friends with DJ now,” Rollins joked during the interview. “He sent me so much ice cream and chocolate. We still have pints in the back fridge because there’s so much to go through.” Rollins characterized the Hollywood star as a “big cheat day guy.” Even as Rollins deals with more recent setbacks, it appears he still has plenty of Rock’s ice cream to help him through his rehabilitation.
