The latest edition of WWE RAW on Netflix took place on 3rd March 2024 at KayBank Center, Buffalo, New York. With plenty of interesting matches announced for the night, the night turned to be an exciting one bringing in a surprising title change. With CM Punk all set to explode on mic, the night was set to witness him going back and forth with Seth Rollins. The show also featured World Tag Team Championship match and the women’s Intercontinental Championship match. Let’s get a deep dive into the results of the episode.

Opening Segment
WWE RAW show opened with none other than “The Voice of the Voiceless” CM Punk addressing the audience in a fiery manner and targeted Cena, The Rock and Seth Rollins. Starting with The Rock he called him “fraud” straight to the camera and took shots on him. Next he switched to Cena and said “How desperate is he, That he sold his soul” and mocks Cena for his “Never Give Up”. At last, he charged towards Seth Rollins which led to a brawl between them and the audience chatting “This is awesome!”
Match Results
GUNTHER def. Otis
Next on WWE RAW GUNTHER vs Otis which started with GUNTHER addressing the audience and commenting on Otis. Otis gave a tough fight by executing caterpillar on the World Heavyweight Champion leads to kick out and ultimately GUNTHER gave his signature powerbomb to Otis. The that the Imperium leader won this non-title match. GUNTHER solidifies his image of why he is the champion and gave a statement to retain his title at WrestleMania 41.
After the match the Austrian attacked his opponent and Jey Uso came to make the save. However, he was attacked by Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.
Lyra Valkyria def. Ivy Nile
The show then featured a women’s division match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The match started with Nile’s offences which included sit out powerbomb, Valkyria displayed her resilience in the situation and changed the match in her favor. The contest was competitive and both the wrestlers showed their strengths. In the end, Lyra Valkyria delivered her finisher, Nightwing and was successful as she managed to defend her title and continued to hold the Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
The War Raiders def. American Made
A tag team match for WWE World Tag Team Championships was next where The War Raiders faced American Made. War Raiders managed to win the match and retained their titles. The match was full of high flying moves and heavy-action packed.
Iyo Sky def. Rhea Ripley
WWE shocked the fans with John Cena’s heel turn at the Elimination Chamber and on WWE RAW Iyo Sky shocked everyone by pulling out an upset. In the main event the WWE Women’s World Championship was on the line where Iyo Sky defeated the former champion Rhea Ripley and shocked everyone by becoming the new WWE Women’s World Champion. The match was full of action, packed with near falls and Sky executed moves like suplex at the ringside, delivered insane elbow and powerbomb at barricade to perfection.
The Eradicator was angered by Bianca Belair’s actions as the latter supported Sky. Sky was able to recover in the meantime and turned the tide in her favor as she executed over the Moonsault and won the match. With the win she has booked her ticket to WrestleMania 41 against Bianca Belair. In the coming weeks, we can expect Ripley finding her way in the match to make it a triple threat contest.
Key Highlights
CM Punk’s promo was reminiscent of one of his earlier pipebomb moments, where he used to call out multiple superstars’ names and set the future storylines by addressing them which we saw in the beginning of the RAW episode.
After addressing Rollins, the brawl between them leads to a Steel Cage match between Punk and Rollins which is going to be held next week at the iconic Madison Square Garden.
Iyo Sky’s victory over the current champion in the women’s division is completely shocking for the fans. Now we can see a slight momentum shift towards the women’s division too as now Iyo Sky will be the one to face Belair for the Championship at WrestleMania. As the official announcement is not yet revealed we might get to see Ripley inserted into the match.
The War Raiders’ match highlighted the high flying moves from the big men involved that included many top-rope dives from both teams.
Conclusion
As we are close to this year’s WrestleMania event and just before it WWE RAW delivered thrilling matches on March 3, 2025. Not only were the matches entertaining but also the storyline’s potential twist and turns were also a reason to watch the event. We witnessed the title defense as well as title exchange which excited the fans’ reactions and fans are curious about next week’s RAW.
