Over the last few years, Dana White, who heads up the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and Paul “Triple H” Levesque, the Chief Content Officer over at the WWE, have struck up a pretty friendly relationship. This connection goes beyond just being personal; it’s also a clear sign of increasing co-operation between these two giants of sports entertainment. Their buddy-buddy dynamic is kind of a big deal for both organizations, not least because it shows a growing friendship within the increasingly blurred lines of combat sports and the different regions they operate in.
Both the heads of the sports were seen appreciating and lauding each other for their work dynamics and success through their social media posts since coming under the TKO Holdings.
A Little History

For ages, WWE and UFC were seen as competitors in the world of combat sports. Even though they each had their own separate followings—WWE with its storyline-driven entertainment and UFC with its genuine athletic contests—they still butted heads. But then, TKO Group Holdings came along and merged WWE and UFC, opening the door for the two to work together more easily than ever before.
Since the merger deal, fans have got to see many cross-overs appearances from fighters and personalities of both the companies. UFC fighters including Michael Chandler, Alex Pereira and Tom Aspinall were seen on WWE programing. On the other hand several WWE personalities including Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, The Undertaker and CM Punk were seen ringside during UFC shows. These crossover appearances displays the flexibility of the two heads who are now working under TKO Holdings.
Impact on Each Other’s Companies

Dana White’s influence on Triple H’s strategy for WWE is pretty striking. Jim Cornette, a wrestling commentator and promoter, noted that The Game’s new Head of Creative role takes cues from White’s style at UFC events. For example, the Chief Content Officer of WWE now actively takes part during premium live events (PLEs), presenting championship belts just like White does for UFC fighters after big fights. Since Vince McMahon stood down as the Chairman and Paul Levesque took over as the CCO, the relation between the two promotions have got even better.
This shift has made WWE shows feel more authentic and sports-like, as Cornette observed. Bringing in pre- and post-event press conferences for PLEs is similar to what UFC already does, making the border between scripted entertainment and actual competition even fuzzier. Combat Sports fans have got to witness plenty of moments from the stars of other sports attending live events which just takes the viewership up and also hypes the events.
Possible Team-ups in the Future

Down the road, there’s talk about possible teamwork between WWE and UFC that could change how fans see both brands. Dana White pointed out that they’re open to cross-promotional events, like fighters moving between promotions, and they’ll look into those options no matter what company they’re linked to. This willingness to work together shows a change from seeing each other as rivals to understanding how teamwork can help both brands grow.
To sum it up, the bond between Dana White and Triple H is built on mutual respect, teamwork after their companies joined forces under TKO Group, and a common goal for the future of sports entertainment. In future we might also het to see a cross over programs between fighters of the two sports.
WWE officials now have their attention on their next PLE Elimination Chamber which will be aired live on 1st March, 2025. UFC on the other hand will air UFC Fight Night: Cejudo Vs. Song on 23rd February, 2025.
