UFC 313 — March 8, 2025 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Following the announcement of the long-awaited main and co-main events, the UFC has now revealed some more fights to complete the main card of the event.
In the main event Alex Pereira will defend his UFC Light Heavyweight Title against the No. 1 contender Magomed Ankalaev. In 2024, Pereira has received a great run, winning and defending the title several times. Ankalaev, who has not lost a fight since his UFC debut defeat seven years ago. He has been highly motivated for another title shot after a controversial split draw with Jan Blachowicz at UFC 282 in December 2022.
The co-main event is a lightweight showdown between Justin Gaethje, the former interim champion, and Dan Hooker. Both fighters are striking specialists, and promise to put on an entertaining matchup. Hooker is riding a wave of momentum after winning each of his past four fights since March 2022. On the other hand, Gaethje returns after losing his BMF title to Max Holloway back in April 2024.
Apart from the blockbuster main and co-main events, the UFC has added more exciting bouts to the card for UFC 313, as they confirmed on UFC website. Expect exciting matchups in several divisions from the event.
UFC 313: More Matches Announced For The PPV Event
The UFC has officially revealed more exciting matchups for the highly anticipated UFC 313 pay-per-view event. As it stands, this card will show everything from up and coming challengers to seasoned veterans.
- Flyweight Bout : Bruno Silva vs. Joshua Van
- Women’s Strawweight Bout: Amanda Lemos vs. Iasmin Lucindo
- Featherweight Bout: Mairon Santos vs. Francis Marshall
- Middleweight Bout: Ozzy Diaz vs. Djorden Santos
- Welterweight Bout: Alex Morono vs. Carlos Leal
- Middleweight Bout: Armen Petrosyan vs. Brunno Ferreira
- Bantamweight Bout: Chris Gutierrez vs. Jean Matsumoto
Talking about the main event of UFC 313, Magomed Ankalaev seems to be Pereira’s toughest challenge. Leading up to their bout, the pair had exchanged plenty of barbs through social media in order to sell the fight. The LHW champion said he was the one who personally called the UFC to book the fight. The Dagestani fighter was quick to respond on Twitter with digs at Pereira’s past. He warned the Brazilian of the consequences that the champion faces as a result of delaying the fight.
Ankalaev, a fighter noted to have grappling in his own right, has criticized Pereira’s standup in the past while admitting he can crack with his hands. With the contender holding fighting records of 11-1-1 (1 no contest) and Pereira holding a record of 12-2-0, this matchup feels like it’s going to be an exciting clash of styles.
