He was a former Bellator lightweight champion and popularly known for his explosive wrestling. “The Iron” was born on April 24, 1986, in High Ridge, Missouri and started his MMA career in 2009. Throughout his Bellator and UFC career he has established himself as one of the strongest competitors in the lightweight division. After three years of marriage they decided to adopt a child. In 2017, they adopted their first child and named him Hap Whitaker Chandler. They named him after a former wrestling coach from Missouri, Hap Whitney. After 5 years, they adopted another child and named him Ace Chandler.

He also states that adopting a child was his wife’s idea and he agreed with her decision. He described it as a “beautiful experience” and feels prouds to call him their dad.

“Adoption is not our plan B. It’s our plan A. These boys are our sons in every way that matters, and we thank God every day for the blessing they are.”
