Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson kicked off RAW on Netflix after announcing his appearance on the show yesterday. In a promo, the Rock turned babyface as he hyped the crowd about the show.
The Brahma Bull made his return using the “Final Boss” theme. In that avatar, the WWE Universe had seen The Great One as a heel. However what followed next saw the Hollywood star turn face. He also seemed to have broken his character for the day.
The Rock in his promo appreciated Cody Rhodes with whom he had a heated rivalry. He also made reference about Rhodes’ mother but just said hello to her. The Great One mentioned about being a proud Samoan while giving tribute to multiple members of the Samoan Family.
One thing to be noted was that the segment was followed by the Tribal Combat match. The Final Boss before ending his promo did talk about Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa’s match. He praised his cousin Reigns and critised Sikoa for taking the Ula Fala from the former.

After the promo segment, Solo Sikoa made his entrance to the ring followed by The OTC for their match. In the match, Roman Reigns regained his Ula Fala in a match that saw interference from multiple WWE superstars. The list includes Tama Tonga, Jacob Fatu, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes.
After overcoming all the obstacles Reigns finally overcame them as he delivered a spear to retain his crown. But as Paul Heyman was about to hand over the Ula Fala to the OTC, The Brahma Bull made his way to the ring.
The Rock entered the ring to put the Ula Fala around Reigns’ neck. The two also shook hands giving indications about their alliance. This might serve as a first chapter in their much hyped WrestleMania showdown. As mentioned before RAW on Netflix has given some hints about the mega match.
The show also had the first chapter of John Cena’s farewell tour. The show has a lot in store but The Rock has already made headlines after his appearance. What follows next will keep the WWE Universe at the edge of their seats.
