The unfortunate former World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, has been away from WWE. The Visionary sustained a shoulder injury and was taken aback from his top-of-the-roster position. It was leading up to be Rollins’ year, coming from amazing career highlights until that point. However, now he is roaming around wearing a shoulder sling and recovering his way to crush it back in WWE.
Rollins recently offered an optimistic update on his condition during an appearance on Bert Kreischer’s show, Something’s Burning. He revealed a recovery timeline focused first on healing, then on preparation. “Once I get this thing off [the shoulder sling], which is in another month,” Rollins explained. “Then it’ll be full vacation mode for a little while before I lock in and start training to get ready to come back.” he said.
Based on this estimate, Rollins’ window for a return puts him directly into the Road to WrestleMania 42. While it’s still too early for a definitive return date, Rollins is staying hopeful about making the biggest show of the year. “Probably 12 weeks,” he continued. “We’ll be moving right into WrestleMania season, so I’m hoping around February, after all the holiday stuff, I can start to be like, ‘Okay, lock in. No more BS.'”
Seth was injured in his match with Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel. This put his title reign and the main event push in jeopardy for the coming months. Thus, he had to vacate the title and even step down from the position as the leader of Vision, in a harsh way, where he had to take a spear from Bron Breakker.
Seth Rollins’ injury shook many pieces in multiple storylines
If it wasn’t for that coast-to-coast headbutt, Seth Rollins probably would have still been the World Heavyweight Champion. He would have also led the Vision going into WarGames. Also, a Logan Paul would not have been chosen as his replacement anytime sooner. A lot would have been different if Rollins had been there.
The injury that has put him on the shelf for the coming months is something that triggered Bron Breakker to break off the faction. Bronson Reed, who was chosen by Rollins himself to be the future of WWE, through his Vision, also betrayed him. In kayfabe, if it is to be thought from their perspective, they needed to be on the forefront of their team, and needed to be led by a bigger veteran, Paul Heyman.
Normally, Seth would have been the champion going into Survivor Series and the third official member of Vision and WarGames. However, the championship is now with CM Punk, and the third member announced for the heel side of WarGames is Logan Paul. Hopefully, Seth gets back in shape and hits the Road to WrestleMania 42 only to redeem himself from the Brons.
