At Fan Expo Chicago, WWE’s 17-time World Champion John Cena participated in a Q&A. He spoke about many things, ranging from his acting career to his current WWE retirement tour. Talking about wrestling and his ongoing feud, he shared his candid thoughts on Logan Paul. Cena acknowledged that he’s accustomed to polarizing opinions, noting that while some may dislike him, he called Logan ‘underrated’.

When asked if Paul could defeat him in their Clash in Paris match, Cena responded thoughtfully. He stated that Logan has a strong chance due to his impressive skills in WWE. Despite the Maverick’s unpopularity among some fans, Cena emphasized that even he finds him unlikable yet talented. Countering claims that Paul is overrated, Cena argued that he’s actually underrated, deserving of his place in WWE.

“He’s not an outsider; he belongs in WWE. I think his best days are still ahead of him; he’s got championships in his future,” said Cena while lauding Paul. The Greatest of All Time expressed respect for Logan’s abilities, emphasizing that he’s not overlooking him as an opponent. He admitted Paul could beat him but vowed to make him earn every moment of victory through intense effort.

This statement from Cena comes from a respectful place where he is being himself and lauding the talent of Paul. Whereas on the other side, the former US Champion has soaked into kayfabe and just that same week started speaking ill of the GOAT. It seems like a humane version of the Cenation Leader is unfamiliar with kayfabe, while Paul keeps it on the whole time.

Back in June, Cena and Paul teamed up to take on Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. However, the tables have turned now, and they are going against each other. At Clash in Paris, John and Logan would compete in a singles match, which is likely to be the GOAT’s last in-ring bout in Europe. The Paris crowd, cheering their heart out for Cena and booing the hell out of Paul, could be a sight to behold.

John Cena comments on his last opponent

At the Boston Fan Expo, John Cena even discussed his final in-ring match scheduled for December in Boston. The date is nearing, and there must be some plans made about it; however, Cena is keeping it to himself. This secrecy is likely to spark intrigue in the fans as the 17-time World Champion needs the biggest outing.

Cena, reflecting on his 23-year career, emphasized that he has never handpicked his opponents. He adhered to a philosophy of seizing opportunities as they came. “I’ve always lived by the idea that life presents opportunities daily, and you must make the most of them,” he said as reported by the Boston Herald. He vowed to approach his last match with the same mindset, ready to face whoever steps up.
