John Cena is being labelled by WWE officially as the Greatest of All Time. However, his recent achievement could very well make him the Greatest Grand Slam Champion of All Time too. On the recent Monday Night RAW in Boston, Cena clinched his path to the ultimate achievement winning the Intercontinental Championship. The only title that alluded him in his 23 years career. Fans rejoiced and he celebrated while other Grand Slam champions congratulated him in their way.
3. The Miz
The Miz is mostly, and currently, in his heel run. The A-Lister is one of the most decorated WWE superstar. Not only that, but he is also the first person to achieve the feat of being the first ‘two-time Grand Slam champion’ by winning every championship at least twice. With such success, and that too before Cena could even achieve his single Grand Slam status, it is superior to him.
It is also to be noted that Miz and Cena were also tag team champions at one point, implying that Miz has contributed slightly to Cena’s Grand Slam. Miz did congratulate the Leader of Cenation, but with a pinch of salt. He started with, “Took ya long enough” quote and stated how his legendary career had still not achieved this Grand Slam yet. He later congrats in simple words but came back to his heel nature.
“You won the title I made prestigious,” and circled back to how his efforts have made that championship worth it. Miz also added the fact that he would be winning the Last Time is Now tournament and retiring Cena. He was, although excited, because now the stakes are high, and that last match win would result in his IC title win. “I’m restoring legacy. #MizVsCena” the A-Lister ended with this promise.
2. Kofi Kingston
Kofi Kingston had his share of putting down Cena, but also congratulating him on the Grand Slam. The New Day member kept it short but started with a banger line saying, “Congrats kid,” as if Cena’s younger than him! He added, “Welcome ot the club,” implying the Grand Slam status of the IC champ. However, he ended it in a similar way The Miz started his post by writing, “Took yo a*s long enough”.
1. Rey Mysterio
It was Dominik Mysterio who tasted defeat at the hands of the Greatest of All Time. Thus, it was a joy for his father, Rey Mysterio, to see his son lose the Intercontinental Championship. Rey had the best comment on this scenario this scenario which unfolded at TD Garden with only one word to say, “LOL”.
The world is aware of the Mysterio father-son rivalry and how Dominik has disowned his legendary dad. However, it does not seem very concerning for the luchador to see how Dom is moving ahead in his career in his own way. His only issue comes when “Dirty” Dom proclaims himself as the Greatest Luchador of All Time, which he certainly is not. Last week, this was brought up for discussion, too, on RAW.
Thus, the very next week to see his son get humbled down by the actual Greatest of All Time, it was a win-win situation. He saw Dom lose and feel bad for losing a title around his waist. Also, to witness a veteran attain the Grand Slam status, that too by making his son lose it. Hence, a LOL was all Rey posted.
