The Royal Rumble 2025 is set to take place on Saturday February 1, 2025 at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, marking the beginning of one of WWE’s most exciting periods. The Road to WrestleMania is officially on, as two competitors will book their tickets to the world championship main events of the grandest stage of them all. One Superstar will punch his ticket to WrestleMania glory by winning the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, and another will do the same by winning the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.
The two marquee matches are known for their shocking returns, surprising debuts and exhilarating surprises every year. The Women’s match is expected to delivery multiple surprise entrances as former champions look set to make their return. With the event just days away, here’s a list of six surprise entrants who could make the Women’s Royal Rumble 2025 truly unforgettable.
Special mention – Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Asuka, NXT Call ups. Stephanie McMahon could also be seen before the match to hype the crowd.
List of Surprise Entrances that will shock the WWE Universe:
6. Jade Cargill

The acquisition of Jade Cargill to WWE has been one of the most heavily discussed additions in recent times. Following a dominant run in AEW, where she put together an unmatched 60-match undefeated streak and set the record for the longest TBS Championship reign, she is the combination of pure power, charisma and star power.
Upon making her debut she formed a tag team with Bianca Belair and the two went on to become the Women’s tag team champions on two occasions. At Survivor Series 2024, Cargill was found injured on a car windshield due to an attack backstage by someone. She has been highly anticipated by fans for her return and the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble provides a perfect opportunity for the same.
A strong return in the Royal Rumble would instantly create interesting matchups, be it against Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi or Charlotte Flair. If she emerges from the Rumble and wreaks havoc in the ring, the hype of her return match would be at a fever pitch. WWE has a big chance to cement her as one of the top superstars in the women’s division. WWE can have her in a defining moment that will rightfully put her at the forefront of the company as we enter WrestleMania season.
5. Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss hasn’t appeared on WWE programming for more than a year and she would make for one of the biggest talking points of the Royal Rumble night. Over the years, the five-time Women’s Champion has embodied many personas in WWE, from the clever “Goddess” to an otherworldly figure who drank from a cup of Bray Wyatt’s supernatural powers.
Her return has been speculated for months, and the Rumble is an ideal place for her to return home. Fans have speculated about her return for months, and the Rumble provides the perfect setting for a dramatic comeback.
The most interesting part of the Bliss situation is that she has the potential to reunite with Uncle Howdy and whatever is left of Bray Wyatt’s legacy. But if WWE is looking to bring her back as a dark force in the division, the Rumble would be an ideal spot for that transition. Conversely, if she comes back to her beloved “Goddess” persona, that would set the stage for her redemption arc and re-establishment as a top babyface.
4.The Iiconis (Peytan Royce and Billie Kay)

The return of The IIconics would be a nostalgic and emotional segment for WWE fans as the duo of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay was a precursor to the Women’s Revolution in the promotion. They had one of the most recognizable gimmicks during their time with the company.
The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions were released in 2021, and have left a void in the division that has struggled to replicate the chemistry and charisma of a team like them. Following a short stint in Impact Wrestling as The IInspiration, where they won the Knockouts Tag Team Titles, the pair retired from wrestling, leaving fans speculating as to whether they would ever return to the ring.
IIconics Return means Women’s Tag Team Revival — Beyond nostalgia factor. They were also known for a fun, chaotic energy, and their return could bring that back but with the additional edge of being properly competitive. Picture them crashing teams such as Damage CTRL, Katana Chance & Kayden Carter, or even challenging the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions immediately after the Rumble. Their return would be great for the company—essentially bringing both excitement and and renewed interest in the tag team scene.
3.Britt Baker

Britt Baker making her way into a WWE ring would be one of the most surprising moments in the Women’s Royal Rumble history. The AEW star has established herself as one of the top female wrestlers today, and a surprise entry would signal an extraordinary crossover between WWE and AEW.
A showdown between Baker and WWE’s elite, like Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair, would be a dream scenario. Even if it’s just a one-time appearance, her involvement would generate significant excitement and pave the way for future opportunities.
2.Jordynne Grace

Jordynne Grace’s entry in the 2025 Royal Rumble would signify a new level in the on-going relations between WWE and TNA. In 2023 the current Knockouts Champion created a stir with her surprising appearance at NXT Battleground, showcasing a level of inter-promotional co-operation rarely witnessed between the two companies.
Her inclusion in the Royal Rumble match would only help take this bond to a new level serving as the first talent that would appear in the Royal Rumble match promoting the mixed show scenario. The strength wrestler style that Jordynne Grace is renowned for could create some explosive encounters if she enters Rumble.
It could be implied that the attention that her presence would generate in the Royal Rumble would allow for an even more increased interconnectedness between the two promotions. Have Jordynne Grace in the Rumble it is a big moment for the wrestling community historically to witness when.
1.AJ Lee

One of the biggest dream returns possible would be AJ Lee stepping back into a WWE ring – and the Royal Rumble would be the perfect stage for it. Widely regarded as one of the best female wrestlers in WWE history, the former three-time Divas Champion had a major hand in helping shape the modern Women’s Division before retiring in 2015.
Fans have been clamoring for her to make a comeback ever since, especially with her husband CM Punk also returning to the WWE. Her return always felt like a long shot, with Punk in WWE, it seems like the whole thing is back on the menu. If you close your eyes and envision her entrance music “Light It Up” playing as she struts into the building, the place will lose its mind.
That’s why it would be pretty crazy if she comes in and eliminates a top competitor or won the whole thing, setting up an epic road to WrestleMania for her. The Women’s Revolution has come a long way since AJ left and seeing her pop into today’s WWE landscape would be a huge moment for the fans who used to cheer her on back during the start of modern women’s wrestling. There’s no time like the present for a return, though, and women’s Rumble in 2025 is where it should happen.
The excitement, nostalgia, and unpredictability that these surprise entrants would bring to the Women’s Royal Rumble would make it an absolute must-watch.
